Please provide an introduction to an informative and factual blog post. Mysterious NYE Noise in Oregon – What is it? It started as a murmur, like someone was whispering through the trees. Then it increased to a dull roar that I couldn’t pinpoint with my ears. By New Year’s Eve, the noise had grown into a howling shriek that made my hair stand on end and the windows shake. I began looking for cameras or people outside, but there was no one and nothing unusual to be seen or heard so close to midnight. The weird thing was, no one in the area heard it. I called my neighbors across the street, the ones who have lived here for years. No one knew what I was talking about, but when I asked if they made it to midnight with the noise, they all said that they’d slept right through it. My son, who has lived in the house since he was born, slept through the whole thing. A few days after New Year’s, I decided to take some pictures of the house with my camera phone. I discovered some large, flashing orange symbols on the walls in my backyard when I zoomed in. The symbols were smaller than a man’s hand and larger than a man’s face, but they couldn’t have been there long because no one had seen them before they appeared on my bathroom mirror. Even with flash photography it was hard to get good pictures of the symbols because they were constantly moving. Whenever I got a good picture of the symbols, they would move back into the shadows and I couldn’t get a clear shot. They were much too fast and subtle for a camera to record. The symbols never appeared when the sun was hitting them from behind or in front, but they appeared in many different locations where there was no direct sunlight. They were also more prominent in some areas than in others. Some times they would be completely invisible while occupying an area I could easily see from a different angle, only to reappear when I went back to that same spot for a second look. I went through the photos I had taken with my camera phone at home and there was nothing in the pictures that could explain what’s in my backyard. As I said in my intro, I’m in the process of writing a book about all the weird things that happen to me. A book about an ex-military officer is bound to be intriguing to some people, but when your experiences border on the absurd, it can present problems when it comes time for publication. Well, I don’t know if this blog post will make for good reading between covers of a book, but I wanted to put something out there just in case anyone out there is interested. cfa1e77820
